# Jeremy Kuzmarov on Rwanda and the genocide hoax

Jeremy Kuzmarov—author, historian and managing editor of [*CovertAction Magazine*](https://covertactionmagazine.com/?ref=jermwarfare.com)—argues that the Rwandan genocide is a myth, suggesting instead that it was a civil war backed by foreign interests, including the CIA, MI6 and Mossad, as well as various governments. 

He points out that the Tutsi-led Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) was backed by the US and UK to gain control over the Congo's mineral wealth.

Plus, Jeremy challenges the mainstream portrayal of the even (such as *Hotel Rwanda*, which was a great piece of fiction infused with some truth), noting that both Hutu and Tutsi committed atrocities, and criticises Western media for perpetuating a hoax.
