What is the Greater Israel project?
First, it is not new and it kinda lacks a precise definition (by design), but it is rooted in the biblical verse Genesis 15:18–21, which says:
To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates.
This passage, which I'll come back to, forms pretty much the entire basis for the Greater Israel project.
The Greater Israel project is tightly interwoven into Zionism because, as pointed out above, it claims the land from the Nile to the Euphrates as the divinely promised Jewish homeland.
This ideology has long influenced Israeli policy and settlement efforts, with some hardline figures advocating for settlements in Lebanon and beyond, claiming it would bring security and fulfil divine promise. However, as Jewish historians Ilan Pappe and Zachary Foster have argued, it as a form of colonialism, involving land appropriation and the displacement of local populations.

Regarding the Genesis prophecy
I said I'd come back to this.
Genesis 15:18 was a covenant made with Abraham's physical descendants — the ancient Hebrews and Israelites (the children of Jacob).
It has nothing to do with Jews, and its meaning has been twisted since the 1800s, thanks to people like Darby and Scofield.

The modern state of Israel, created by the British Empire and Rothschilds, is a secular, 19th-century political project with no connection to God's covenant with Abraham (and, by extension, Jacob).
Jews are not God's chosen people, and Israel is not God's chosen land.

To quote Matt's Substack:
It’s become increasingly acceptable within ‘polite society’ to speak openly of the ambition held by certain zionists with far too much power for a thing called “Greater Isreal”. That is to say, a territory far larger than the one currently occupied by Israel stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates and looking a lot like the territorial map of the Neo-Babylonian Empire which held the Jews in captivity for 70 years.
He has written a lot on multipolarity too, and in our conversation, he explains why the Greater Israel project is harming efforts to create a competitive (multipolar) world.
What is multipolarity?
To be clear, multipolarity means global power isn't held by just one or two countries anymore (like the US and UK)— it's spread across several major players including China, Russia, India, and others, leading to a mix of competition and uneasy cooperation.
The world used to be bipolar (US vs USSR) and then unipolar (US dominance after 1991), but since around 2008, we’ve been shifting into a multipolar system where power is more evenly distributed.
I don't oppose multipolarity in principle—but I reject its use as a Trojan horse for one-world governance.
For example, rather than dismantling Western dominance, multipolarity could be a strategy to co-opt rising powers like China, Russia, India, and Brazil, giving them symbolic influence while keeping them locked into the same globalist system run by a transnational elite. If this is what is meant by multipolarity, then I oppose it.
