His books Sunlight on Climate Change: A Heretic's Guide to Global Climate Hysteria and Sunset on Net Zero: A Heretic's Guide to the Futile CO2 Target argue that climate emergency declarations are politically motivated rather than scientifically based, examining the physical limitations of carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas and describing Net Zero policies as "pointless, unachievable, and unfair".
Describing himself as a "heretic, not a denier," Ron contends that global warming has a large natural component and that future human CO2 emissions will have insignificant warming effects whilst helping to feed the global population.
