One problem that arises from diving into endless rabbit holes and questioning everything is that I sometimes fall into unnecessary traps.
Like chemtrails.
They're spraying us with toxins!
This is exactly the kind of claim that regularly shows up in geoengineering discourse. I've been guilty of it too.
But here's the thing.
It's true and it's not true.
Which doesn't really make sense until you start to understand nuance.
What do I mean?
Is geoengineering real?
Yes.
Are chemtrails real?
Yes.
Is cloud seeding real?
Yes.
Is sun dimming real?
Yes.
Okay, so where's the nuance?
The nuance lies in the fact that, as Jim Lee explains, it's all largely a consequence of aviation pollution coupled with atmospheric conditions, rather than deliberate, nefarious attempts by pilots to make people sick.
Oh, and not defining terms properly. For example, a very common trope is:
Chemtrails last longer in the sky than contrails.
This statement is off to a bad start because 'chemtrails' and 'contrails' aren't clearly defined and, in my opinion, designed to derail meaningful discourse. The moment you say 'chemtrail', the conversation falls apart. It's a trigger word.

In other words, the harm is real, but not because our Emirates pilot was on a covert mission to spray Africans as we flew from Cape Town to Dubai.
To make matters worse, the chemtrail narrative fixates on visible white lines while ignoring the times when trails aren't visible. The truth is, aircraft (and rockets) are always leaving behind trails of chemicals—whether or not they form visible condensation in the sky.
Why does this matter?
It matters because the chemtrail narrative thrives in a vacuum—full of vague claims, lacking specifics, and ignoring key pieces of the puzzle. It offers no real solution, no clearly identified perpetrators, and ultimately promotes only defeatism.
I was there once, but after months of challenging what I thought I knew about chemtrails, I’ve shifted to a more nuanced position—simply because it makes more sense. What's happening in the sky is bad news for humanity, but understanding what's going on means the problems can actually be solved.
As a result of trying to find the truth regarding chemtrails, I’ve been called a lot of things. The latest is 'double agent', which, to be honest, I quite like.

It’s unbelievable how dogmatic some people are. They’re absolutely a cult in the way they operate—closed off, aggressive, rejecting nuance. They don’t listen properly. They don’t read properly. They sling labels like ‘chemtrail denier’, akin to 'climate change denier' and 'Covid denier'.
They’ll do anything to protect their belief that they’re being sprayed.
They want to be victims.
They don't want the situation to be improved.
I’m very glad to be free of that mindset.
My conversation(s) with Jim Lee
Jim is an independent researcher and founder of ClimateViewer, focusing on geoengineering, weather modification, and atmospheric manipulation—areas he believes are underreported or actively concealed by mainstream institutions.

He’s been researching and publishing on climate intervention technologies since at least 2012, running ClimateViewer News and ClimateViewer Maps to help people get a better picture of what's going on.
In August 2015, he testified at the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) public hearing on aircraft emissions, where he raised concerns about flight pollution, contrails, and geonengineering programs.
While most people whine on social media about being 'sprayed', Jim actually did something. When you truly understand what's happening, you can mount a case against it, and get others to do the same—even if the establishment ignores it.
'They want to be victims.'
There was a lot I wanted to discuss with Jim, but one hour wasn't enough time, so I invited him back for a second.
He answers many of the questions I often hear, so I hope you listen to both episodes, recorded for my UK Column podcast.
