Judith Curry says CO2 does not cause global warming

The warming factors are mostly volcanoes, clouds, water vapour and, you know, the sun. Humans are simply not powerful enough.

Judith Curry is the president of Climate Forecast Applications Network (CFAN) and previously the professor and chair of the School Of Earth And Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute Of Technology. She also has an excellent website, Climate Etc.

Global warming’s not our fault—solar cycles and cosmic rays drive climate shifts, not your car’s exhaust.

— Willie Soon, astrophysicist

The mainstream hysteria focus is almost entirely on carbon dioxide—a tiny fraction linked to human activity—while far greater factors are ignored. I mean, how arrogant must you be to think that your actions around the house are more powerful than the sun?

The CO₂ emitted by humans is incredibly small—only 3.4% of 96.6% which itself accounts for 3.6% of all atmospheric gases. In other words, human-produced CO₂ is almost non-existent.

Think of global warming like this: If the sun vanished tomorrow, Earth’s temperature would plummit and all life would end.

Judith spoke to me about what actually warms and cools Earth. (Hint: It's not humans.)
