Andrew runs "The Crucible" on YouTube, a live debate and commentary show in which he engages in what he describes as "bloodsport debate".

By trade, Andrew is a robotics engineer, which is to say he's a blue-collar guy who actually works with his hands and fixes things for a living. He's an Orthodox Christian, a husband, and a father, and he stumbled into online debates completely by accident.

My podcast episode with him was recorded in 2023, before he appeared on Joe Rogan and became big. But his views haven't changed.

What am I talking about?

Well, as it happens, back in 2009, the World Health Organisation (WHO) quietly changed the definition of pandemic.

Except that, well, nah, it's no longer like that.

I asked forensic scientist David Klatzow why.

I can list the lecturers who were any good whatsoever in my years at Wits on the fingers of a mutilated hand.

Universities get government subsidies for every research paper their academics publish. So the pressure to produce papers is relentless. David experienced this firsthand: after his first year as a lecturer, the dean sent him a message noting he hadn't published anything. Same message in year two. By year three, David told the dean he found it intolerable, and he left.

The problem isn't just that the pressure exists. It's what the pressure does to people.

• Academics chop single papers into tiny fragments, called the "least publishable unit", to squeeze out three or four publications instead of one decent one.
• Some cheat outright, because their careers depend on volume, not quality.
• Nobody repeats previous experiments to verify them, because there's no kudos in replication. It costs money, time, and equipment, and it doesn't get you tenure.

In 2005, John Ioannidis published a paper titled "Why Most Published Research Findings Are False", which has become one of the most downloaded and cited papers in modern science. His argument, basically, is that most published research findings are, well, false.

Put another way, almost all peer-reviewed science is garbage.

Yet we're told to "trust the science"?

Nope.

Why should I "trust the science"?

Then the drug companies got involved, funding research and conclusions favouring, well, the drug companies. The entire Covid scam is one such example, with loads of "peer-reviewed" papers on SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19, and mRNA jabs, all of which turned out to be pharmaceutical fear porn to make billions of dollars.

All of it is junk science.

Why the journals are broken

David identified two structural problems that make academic journals inherently untrustworthy:

1. Advertising money. Journals publish material that pleases their advertisers. If a journal publishes something at odds with a major advertising client, the client threatens to withdraw. Journal editors answer to shareholders, not to truth.
2. Corrupt peer review. Editors send papers to reviewers likely to give a favourable review, because they need to publish, not reject.
3. This isn't a point made by David, but I will add that there are also financial, political, and cultural agendas going on. Big Pharma makes a lot of money from its products, and many politicians are bought.

It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.

David's conclusion, and I think he's right, is this:

50% or more of what you learn at university is wrong by the time you get out. The only way to remedy that is to inculcate a culture of learning, of questioning, of going back to basics. And that is not being done. It's regurgitation.

I dropped out of varsity.

David walked away from his lecturing post rather than play the publish-or-perish game.

We both turned out fine.

Maybe the real education, as Mark Twain said, starts after you've forgotten everything you learned at school.

The big picture 📚

Homeschooling is simply the practice of parents taking direct responsibility for their children's education, teaching them at home rather than sending them to a government or private school. 

I went to both.

If parents don't outsource their kids' health to the state, then why would they outsource their kids' education to the state?

To be fair, I think there are valid reasons — like needing a place to leave the kids while the parents work, and the perception that homeschooling is very taxing on home and married life.

Instead of handing a child over to a government institution for six or seven hours a day, the parent becomes the primary teacher, choosing the curriculum, setting the pace, and shaping the entire learning environment around that specific child's needs, abilities, and values. 

Families do it for all sorts of reasons, including:

• lack of trust in the establishment,
• safety,
• cultural influence (such as LGBTQ and climate change nonsense), or
• a desire to ground their children's education in a particular religious or moral framework.

The method itself varies widely, from structured, textbook-based programmes that mirror a traditional school day, to relaxed "unschooling" approaches where children learn through real-life experiences and natural curiosity. 

What ties it all together is the core conviction, increasingly backed by academic research, that a parent who knows and loves their child is almost always better placed to educate them than a stranger in a classroom managing thirty other children at the same time.

In other words, the family sits front and centre.

Hard to argue against that.

Evidence supports homeschooling

A recent mega-study, which studied 45 years of homeschooling studies (🤣), reached some fascinating conclusions, which I asked AI to put into a table for easy reading:

Homeschooling is no longer a fringe movement.

Although, as Kevin pointed out in my conversation with him, it was never a fringe movement until the last century or so — it's been the default for thousands of years.

It is one of the fastest-growing education trends in the Western world, and the data increasingly supports what people like Kevin have argued for decades.

• There were approximately 3.408 million homeschool students in the US in 2024-2025, representing around 6.26% of the school-age population. This is up from 2.5 million in 2019. (Cheers, Covid! 🥂)
• Homeschooling grew at an average rate of 5.4% in 2024-2025, nearly triple the pre-pandemic growth rate of around 2%. 
• 80% of US states that report data showed an increase in homeschooling in 2024-2025.

I don't know the data for my country, South Africa, but anecdotally, homeschooling is popular and growing.

I will point this out again, but the architects of the Covid operation were the CIA, the Pentagon, the National Security Council (NSC), and a biodefence cartel built over two decades.

Not China.

Not Fauci.

Not Drosten.

How the whole world fell for the Covid PCR fraud

Trump was (and still is) middle management.

He was their most useful tool: a celebrity president with huge pop culture status, who signed whatever was put in front of him and then high-fived himself, telling the world how great he was.

That does not make him innocent.

Middle management in a criminal enterprise still goes to prison.

But let me be precise about the chain of command, because giving Trump either too much or too little blame both serve to obscure the deeper machinery.

Here are 10 reasons why Trump is just as guilty as Fauci.

1. The architecture was in place

Then, on 13 January 2020, ten days before his paper was even published, Drosten's PCR test protocol was already sitting on the WHO's website as the official global testing standard.

He was working on a PCR test for Covid beginning in December 2019, prior to patient zero. It's weird, isn't it?

The paper itself, received by the journal Eurosurveillance on 21 January and published just two days later on 23 January, went through what was basically a 24-hour "peer review", a process that normally takes weeks or months.

Totally nothing suspicious going on there.

Background The ongoing outbreak of the recently emerged novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) poses a challenge for public health laboratories as virus isolates are unavailable while there is growing evidence that the outbreak is more widespread than initially thought, and international spread through travellers does already occur. Aim We aimed to develop and deploy robust diagnostic methodology for use in public health laboratory settings without having virus material available. Methods Here we present a validated diagnostic workflow for 2019-nCoV, its design relying on close genetic relatedness of 2019-nCoV with SARS coronavirus, making use of synthetic nucleic acid technology. Results The workflow reliably detects 2019-nCoV, and further discriminates 2019-nCoV from SARS-CoV. Through coordination between academic and public laboratories, we confirmed assay exclusivity based on 297 original clinical specimens containing a full spectrum of human respiratory viruses. Control material is made available through European Virus Archive – Global (EVAg), a European Union infrastructure project. Conclusion The present study demonstrates the enormous response capacity achieved through coordination of academic and public laboratories in national and European research networks.

The paper is widely known as the Corman-Drosten protocol.

It was published within 24 hours from submission until publication. Which is unheard of. It's like your grandma winning a 100-metre race against Usain Bolt. It's not going to happen.

To make matters worse, Drosten and co-author Chantal Reusken were both editors of Eurosurveillance at the time, meaning the journal that rushed the paper through had a direct conflict of interest with its own authors.

The scientific pushback

The scientific pushback came in November 2020, when an international group of scientists submitted a formal retraction request to Eurosurveillance, listing ten major scientific flaws in the Corman-Drosten paper.

The core problems included:

• The test was designed using computer-modelled sequences, not real, isolated viral material, since no actual virus sample was available.
• It had no proper positive or negative controls.
• The primer design was deeply flawed.
• It was never validated against real clinical samples.

In other words, the diagnostic foundation for the entire global "pandemic response" was built on software guesses, not lab evidence.

In other other words, the entire world used a fraudulent PCR test.

Everybody's like Fauci, Fauci, Fauci, but it's Drosten. His role in Covid was massive. It's the main role.

Not that it mattered.

Follow the money 💰

Then there is the money trail.

Some of Drosten's co-authors had direct financial stakes in the outcome:

• Olfert Landt, CEO of the company TIB Molbiol, was a co-author.
• Marco Kaiser, a senior researcher at GenExpress and scientific advisor to TIB Molbiol, was a co-author.
• TIB Molbiol was the first company to manufacture and sell PCR test kits based on the Corman-Drosten protocol.

Most importantly, TIB Molbiol was already shipping these kits to labs across Europe at least a week before the paper was even submitted to the journal, meaning the commercial product was on the market before the "science" backing it up had been published.

In other words, the Covid PCR tests were being shipped in December 2019, before anybody knew or said anything about Covid, and before his paper had been submitted, published, and cited by the WHO.

Again, totally nothing suspicious going on there.

Oh, and by the way, none of these conflicts of interest was mentioned in his original paper. Drosten, as the main author, had signed a mandatory declaration saying there were no conflicts of interest, a statement that was blatantly false. The conflicts were only quietly added on 29 July 2020, six months into the "pandemic".

Drosten made a lot of money from a fraudulent test, and the whole world fell for it. The test was a scam, meaning it was never testing for SARS-CoV-2, meaning the existence of SARS-CoV-2 has never been proven by the very tool that was supposed to prove it.

No proven virus. No proven novel disease. No proven pandemic.

The WHO adopted his protocol as the global standard.

The man whose test was used to justify lockdowns, travel bans, and the complete restructuring of daily life walked away completely unscathed, his reputation untouched, his business partners enriched, and the scientific system that should have held him to account choosing instead to protect him.

Simon Goddek is a German scientist and biotechnologist who was professionally destroyed for questioning the Covid narrative, and who now lives off-grid in Brazil building a self-sustaining homestead.

I discovered Simon in the early Covid years because he was the only one exposing Drosten at the time.

I decided to have that conversation again, now that I have more a professional setup, and because it's just so damn interesting.

In short, the Helderberg was a South African Airways Boeing 747, Flight 295, that took off from Taipei on 27 November 1987, heading for Johannesburg via Mauritius.

It never made it.

Somewhere over the Indian Ocean, about 250 kilometres off Mauritius, a fire broke out in the cargo hold, the plane possibly broke apart in the air, and all 159 people on board died.

He was told to fly on. [Captain Dawie] Uys knew about the illegal cargo on board. And had he landed, in any one of these unfriendly countries on that Indian Ocean rim, he would have been in deep trouble because they would have looked in the hold, found the cause of the fire, and Uys would have traded his pilot's seat for his jail cell there and then.

The official investigation, run by Judge Cecil Margo, said a fire caused the crash, but couldn't (or wouldn't) say what started it, which didn't sit right with anyone who bothered to look deeper.

Enter Dr David Klatzow, a forensic scientist who spent nearly thirty years tugging at the loose ends the Margo Commission left behind. What he uncovered pointed to something far darker than a simple accident: a massive cover-up.

His investigation revealed the cargo hold had been secretly carrying ammonium perchlorate, a highly explosive chemical used in rocket fuel, smuggled for Armscor, South Africa's state arms company, to feed the apartheid government's secret weapons programme. (South Africa was involved in a war against "the communists" in Angola, known as the Border War.)

The Margo Commission helped bury the truth.

Margo called them all into his chambers, in the presence of the attorney for SAA and other SAA representatives, and told them

"drop the report, don't push this... they were told it's dangerous for your health, you don't know what you're doing, it's got security implications, and for your own safety, drop it."

I think that they were threatened and bludgeoned, or bribed or whatever, into not going further.

In all seriousness, I think it's a bad strategy to disregard what he says simply because he worked for the CIA. The world isn't a zero-sum game, and while it's entirely plausible that he'd hold back on revealing some things, there's no reason to believe he wouldn't reveal others.

Of course they were involved. It was the CIA and it was the generals that wanted to get at the Soviet Union.

For example, he openly says the CIA were involved in JFK's assassination. Another guest of mine — author Monika Wiesak, who's published two books on the assassination — makes the same argument. So does that mean Ray is lying because he worked for the CIA? Obviously not. If anything, it strengthens Monika's position.

A guy who hated Kennedy, who had legitimate grievances in his mind, grievances against Kennedy, who was fired by Kennedy, would end up directing the Warren Commission proceedings to find out who killed Kennedy.

Who is Ray McGovern?

Born in 1939 in the Bronx, Ray McGovern is a former CIA analyst who spent 27 years at the agency — from 1963 to 1990 — serving under seven US presidents. He holds a BA from Fordham University and an MA in Russian Language, Literature, and History.

During the Reagan years, he personally briefed Reagan's five most senior national security advisers.

When he retired in 1990, he was awarded the CIA's Intelligence Commendation Medal — which he handed back in 2006, writing that he 'abhorred the corruption of the CIA' and didn't want his name on any medallion associated with it.

Sometimes there are real conspiracies, you know, and if you uncover them, well, they call you a conspiracy theorist in hopes that you'll go away.

Steve — a great filmmaker — and I have been friends for years, ever since I discovered a brilliant documentary of his, about why 'viruses' have never been shown to cause disease.

Here's the said film:

Steve has made a massive new multi-part documentary, based on two decades of research, on who controls the world.

It's called Apocalypse Infinity.

And it's not the Jews, he concludes.

In it, he explains why it's easy to think it's the Jews: it's a deliberate distraction from what's really going on. While everybody keeps looking over there, they're not looking over here.

Basically, he argues that the world is controlled by a network of interrelated elite families and frameworks — the Black Nobility, Jesuits, Vatican, Freemasons, Knights Templar, a 'Cult of Venus', and more.

Who are the Black Nobility and why do they matter?

The most powerful people in the world.

• why did they require the British Empire to create them a country in 1948 (and not centuries earlier)?
• why have they been kicked out of so many countries throughout history?
• why is Judaism not permitted in China?
• why has Israel itself remained heavily dependent on US military aid, diplomatic cover, and Western geopolitical support?
• why did wealthy Jewish banking families (like the Rothschilds) historically operate as clients of European monarchs and states, lending to them and serving them?
• why were large numbers of Jews in the Arab world expelled or marginalised after 1948, losing their property and status?
• why have so many powerful institutions (the Vatican, European monarchies, the CIA, MI6, Bilderberg, and so on) historically had few or no Jews at the top?

Here's one more for the road.

Why does the US one-dollar bill have a pyramid with an all-seeing eye on it, with 'New Order of the Ages' written in Latin around it?

Jews speak Hebrew.

As an aside, I'd spell it 'sceptic' — the British way — but he's American and uses a 'k'.

• the pyramids are far older than mainstream Egyptology claims,
• were built by a lost civilisation using advanced water-based machinery,

• were likely built as devices to monitor or warn against catastrophic pole-shift events — not as tombs.

It’s an information war. What is true? I don’t know either—but I’m trying to find out.

'The pyramids are far older than mainstream Egyptology claims.'

I am no longer persuaded by the mainstream version of how the pyramids were built. For clarity, what I was taught in school goes something like this:

❌ The mainstream argument

• The Great Pyramid was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops), who ruled during the Fourth Dynasty (2589–2566 BC). It was constructed over roughly 20–26 years.
• Not slaves, as the old story went, but tens of thousands of skilled labourers who camped near the site and worked for a salary or as a form of tax payment (corvée).
• Around 2.3 million limestone blocks, averaging 2.5 metric tonnes each, were quarried nearby, hauled on wooden sledges over sand, and raised into place using large ramps. They used copper chisels and stone tools for everything.

Nah.

It doesn't make sense

• 2.3 million blocks over 20 years works out to roughly one block every five minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for two decades — and that's with no days off, no mistakes, no bad weather, no supply chain hiccups, and no time for the increasingly complex upper courses.
• That's 315 blocks per day, every day. Each one has to be quarried, shaped, transported across the plateau, hauled up the growing structure, and placed with millimetre precision — using copper tools and ropes.
• The blocks aren't uniform. As the pyramid rises, blocks get smaller but placement gets harder and the logistics of lifting anything to height with ramps becomes a nightmare.

And that completely ignores the precision of everything. I mean, they did all of that with a hammer and chisel?

PD Lawton is a South African-born independent writer and researcher who runs African Agenda, a website focused on African geopolitics.

Her work on Nigeria and, specifically, Boko Haram and the genocide of Christians, caught my attention.

Except that there is no genocide of Christians, argues PD.

I've been hearing this claim for years, and I've never quite understood why, in Nigeria, Muslims are trying to wipe out Christians.

The official claim is that Nigeria is in the midst of a systematic, Islamist-driven genocide against Christians — that the government is complicit, and that over 100,000 Christians have been killed with tens of thousands of churches destroyed.

Yes, Christians are being brutally killed. But the question is whether or not they're being targeted because of their faith.

Even the US president has jumped on board.

Think about this for ten seconds.

Would the US government really spend millions of dollars to send the military to bomb an African village for no reason other than simply helping Christians?

Of course not.

But it gets better.

It's as if Trump is the messiah, saving mankind and delivering us from evil. 😇

Amen.

It's the perfect distraction — manufacturing a low-resolution conflict between Christians and Muslims, whilst the oligarchs and public-private partnerships pulling the strings stay hidden.

Well, as it happens, there is something else going on, which is what PD's research reveals.

And it's the same agenda again and again and again.

Money and power.

There's only one thing causing what's happening in Nigeria, and that is what is in the soil under people's feet. It's the mineral resources.

It's not a religious war.

It's a geopolitical war.

In short, PD's argument is that the 'Christian genocide' narrative is a ruse to obfuscate what's really happening: a Western-backed mineral resource grab. The violence isn't religious — it's synthetic insurgency designed to keep Nigeria in chaos so lithium, uranium, and gold can be looted, with the media's job being to sell the public a 'Muslims killing Christians' cover story.

• In absolute numbers, Muslims die in far higher numbers because the violence is concentrated in the Muslim-majority north where most of the population lives.
• Christians die more proportionally to their population in certain regions (especially the Middle Belt) where farmer-herder clashes overlap with religious identity.
• But most jihadist violence isn't religiously selective — Boko Haram and ISWAP kill anyone they see as opposing them, including large numbers of Muslims, Muslim clerics, and Muslim civilians.

I find this compelling.
