Why would Google fire a software engineer who challenged their woke nonsense? Was it because he was over the target?

Taras Kobernyk, a former Google software engineer, was fired after writing an internal memo titled Questions About Google’s Anti-Racism Actions, in which he criticised the company's DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives and 'anti-racism' training.

Basically, he criticised Google's training materials that claimed White people have no culture and defended looting.

I would really like to discuss and to address what I see as an underlying issue of company’s actions being inconsistent up to a point of being hypocritical, of the company being either unable or unwilling to have internal conversations on difficult topics.
